Vaccum Cleaners: Everything You Need to Know about It’s History

Vaccum cleaners are one of those inventions, which clearly, make our lives a lot easier for us. This is basically a device where you have a vaccum which sucks up dirt and dust mostly from floors. Now the olden times of the vaccum cleaner is very interesting. It was first created by Melville Bissell in Grand Rapids which is situated in Michigan.
Now Melville had invented this cleaner for Anna, his wife who wanted to clean the sawdust from the carpet. Now this took place in 1876. This led to the formation of the Bissell Carpet Sweepers. Bissell died in 1889 but this wife took over the company and it became one of the strongest ones. After this John Thurman created the first “motor driven” vaccum cleaner.
This was followed by the first ever power cleaner which employed a vaccum. This was made by Hubert Cecil Booth, a British inventor. This idea struck him after he noticed a run of a piece of equipment which was used in a train which blew away all the dust from the chairs. He tested his theory using a handkerchief in a restaurant. His first invention was a large dev ice which was called Puffing Billy. It was first run by an engine (oil) after that it was upgraded to an electric motor.
He then founded the company, named as British vaccum Cleaner and then updated the discovery over the years. The next vaccum cleaner was invented by P.A Fisker in 1910 which called Nilfisk. This was the earliest electric cleaner which was available in Europe. An individual could operate this on his or her own.
This was followed by another invention by James Murray Spangler who made an electric cleaner from a box, pillowcase and a fan. This was followed by a lot of models which are produced by Hoover. After this, there was an outburst in the world of vaccum cleaners where people kept seeing new models being released due to the advancement in technology. It is because of this technology that we see this machine, where it is now.
